Have a listen...

As an "I don't know, what do you call it when you have two things vying for your attention"?

They're both music by the way, one is the solo route, the other is the ongoing quest for a band.

 Oh yeah, and a job.

So, I've played a few small gigs  around Bristol and I've a few more coming up

- check out the calendar page for more details.

And I've put up a couple of ads looking for bandmates

- I can't say I've been inundated with replies but it's early days

Although, as Ani diFranco sings, "You've got your whole life to do something,

And that's not very long" so I will keep the pressure pushing.

I'm keeping this short, cos I'm about to head out to the open mic

in the Arts House in Stokes Croft. I'll be in touch if any more news materialises.

Slán anois/Bye now,

Marie

October 17, 2012 @02:55 am Hey Mark, I'm really really sorry, I just noticed now (two months later) that you commented. I would have thought that my web service would e-mail me about that kind of thing! Sadly, I am bidding farewell to Bristolia. Dear old Dublin is calling me back home-ish. But thanks for the kind words and be sure to look me up if you're planning a trip to the Emerald Isle. Hopefully, I'll get my arse in gear and be gigging regularly before too long! Cheers! Marie
August 15, 2012 @10:39 am Hi Marie. You should do both (solo & band). I'm a bass player in 3 rock bands based in bristol. However my passion lies around the folk, folk/rock genre and also looking for like minded musicians. If you need a bass player (or other mucicians) please feel free to get in touch. Kind regards. Mark Mark Thomas
